Thrice-Fold Veil

Thrice-Fold Veil is a third-person survival action game where the player exists in a single environment that overlaps across three states of reality. Each state reveals a different truth about a relentless multidimensional enemy. The player must continuously shift between these states to survive, track, and defeat the enemy.

Core Gameplay Loop

1. Enemy approaches player continuously
2. Player assesses situation (health, enemy proximity)
3. Player switches to appropriate state:
   • Heal - Physical State
   • Track - Astral State
   • Attack - Void State
4. Player reacts and executes actions
5. Player switches again to compensate for weaknesses
6. Repeat until enemy is defeated or player dies

Thrice-Fold Veil directly integrates the jam theme into both its narrative and gameplay systems.

The player constantly crosses the “borders” between multiple realities, existing in overlapping dimensions where perception, movement, combat, and survival rules fundamentally change.
